Bang Search

Bang Search is a lightweight browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that activates when you type a “bang” shortcut like !so or !yt followed by your search query directly in your browser’s address bar. Once you press Enter, it automatically redirects to the relevant platform’s search results page, performing your search instantly without manually navigating.

It leverages the extensive bang commands and boosts your productivity by enabling quick site-specific searches from one place. For example:

  • Typing !so async await instantly searches Stack Overflow
  • Typing !yt jazz music instantly searches YouTube
